About
About Me
Andrew Orr is a photographer and adventurer with a deep passion for exploring remote and extreme environments. With a background in Environmental Geology and a master's in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), his career as a GIS Analyst and architectural photographer for Argonne National Laboratory complements his 22-year dedication to photography.
Andrew’s photography has evolved to encompass portraiture, wildlife, landscapes, and technical architectural work. His love for extreme climates and remote regions has taken him from the deserts of Arizona, documenting endangered California condors, to the Arctic and Antarctic, where he captures the fragile beauty of these endangered landscapes and wildlife.
As a photographer-in-residence for G Adventures' Antarctic expeditions, Andrew enjoys documenting the stunning, raw environment of the southernmost continent. Whether working with digital equipment or shooting on medium and large format film cameras, his expertise spans both modern and traditional photography, including silver gelatin and platinum/palladium printing.
