I recently announced on my social media accounts—Facebook and Instagram—that I would be closing up shop after 22 years on Facebook. Social media has become increasingly chaotic in recent years, and I found that it no longer added meaningful value to my life. After much consideration, I decided it was time to step away.
In my final post, I shared my plans to create a dedicated blog section on my website where I can continue showcasing my new photographic work—and here it is! I'm excited to have a space that allows me greater creative freedom without the distractions and limitations of social media platforms.
As I embark on this new journey, I imagine the blog will evolve over time. Initially, it may be more image-focused, but I hope to incorporate more written content as I grow more comfortable expressing my thoughts about my work. Writing has never been my strongest skill, especially when it comes to crafting captions or articulating the deeper meaning behind a photo, but I see this blog as an opportunity to improve and share more of my creative process with you.
Thank you for following along, and I look forward to sharing more of my work here in a way that feels more personal and meaningful.
For the first post, here are a few recent photos from some of my favorite places in New Mexico.

Solid work. I just found you via Ilford's "how I got this shot" from a few years back and immediately felt both bummed and pleased when your instagram and facebook links turned up dead. your blog is now bookmarked and i look forward to reading and seeing more from ya.
